B&B trees and shrubs

Losely Legacy + Petitti Innovation

Losely Farm (formerly Herman Losely & Sons) is our balled and burlapped (B&B) plant farm specializing in trees, shrubs, and evergreens.

Whether you are looking for substantial, eye-catching Colorado Blue Spruce trees or other specialty evergreens, large-format shade trees or spring-interest flowering crab trees, or even long-admired favorites like freshly dug Burning Bush and Buxus shrubs – our nursery fields are full of mature tree and shrub specimens that are ready to be dug and shipped to your next job that calls for large material.

Our B&B fields are tended to frequently throughout the growing season by our experienced grow crews. We’re updating our digging equipment and investing in automated trimming technologies and running new drip irrigation lines, all to ensure that the trees and shrubs we dig and ship are top-quality and the correct size and spec the customer requests.

The Petitti Difference

Quality & Innovation

The PFF Management Team spent the inaugural 2022 season at the helm of Losely talking with the customer base and learning about the challenges our B&B customers face in sourcing the materials they need. Going forward, we’re putting that feedback to action in 2023 by expanding our B&B tree and shrub planting programs, increasing our shipping capacity out of Losely Farm, and opening up additional acreage to plant more of the varieties our customers want from us. We’re also building additional cold frame greenhouses on-site for increased protected agriculture capabilities.

While many other B&B nurseries around the country are sadly shuttering their doors, PFF management is committed to ensuring this treasured operation and it’s unique mix of mature B&B trees, shrubs, and evergreens continues to serve customers for many years and even decades to come.
